What is Peppol?
Peppol, or Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line, is a secure network that facilitates electronic invoicing. In Belgium, it is already mandatory to use Peppol for sending invoices to government entities (B2G).
From 1 January 2026, this will also become the standard for invoicing between businesses (B2B). This means that starting then, you will need to invoice via Peppol when doing business with other companies in Belgium. With your Teamleader One subscription, you are already compliant with this legislation!
Activating Peppol in Teamleader One
Activating Peppol in Teamleader One is quite straightforward and can be done through the Settings. It’s a good idea to check your company details first, such as your email address, VAT number, and company number, to avoid any configuration errors. Once you've done that, you can easily activate Peppol.
If you encounter an error message, it can help to navigate away from the settings, for instance, by clicking on Invoices, and then returning to the Peppol settings. If the error messages persist, please double-check that all your details are correct. If problems persist, it’s best to send us a message with a description of your problem (including some screenshots).
You can also deactivate Peppol at any time through the settings, or opt out of outgoing or incoming invoices.
Managing Peppol yourself in Teamleader One
Peppol offers you, as an entrepreneur, greater control over your invoicing processes, meaning you won't have to rely solely on your accountant's tools. Invoices go directly to your Teamleader One inbox, allowing you to keep a complete overview of all your financial documents in one convenient place. This empowers you to manage your administration independently while still benefiting from your accountant's valuable support!
